½ teaspoon fennel seeds
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
12 lasagna noodles
16 ounces ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cook in large pot until browned
Sausage
Ground beef
Onion
Garlic
Add and simmer, covered, for 90 minutes
Crushed tomatoes
Tomato sauce
Tomato paste
Water
Sugar
2 tbsp parsley
Basil
1 tsp salt
Italian seasoning
Fennel seeds
Pepper
Cook noodles, then rinse with cold water
Combine
Ricotta cheese
Egg
2 tbsp parsley
½ tsp salt
Preheat oven to 375 deg
Layer in 9x13 baking dish
1 ½ cup meat sauce
6 Noodles
½ ricotta mixture
1/3 mozzarella
1 ½ cup meat sauce
1/4 cup parmesan
Repeat
Cover with foil (sprayed with Pam)
Bake
25 minutes
Remove foil
Another 25 minutes
Rest for 15 minutes before serving
