Carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
Parsnips, peeled and cut into chunks
1 Head cabbage, cut into wedges
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 bay leaves
1/8 tsp whole peppercorns
Into crock pot for 4 hours on high

3 cups water
Add cabbage and cook another 80 minutes
Remove meat, slice or cut in cubes, and serve
